\u201cFor children who see a little further, and for adults who remember they were children once.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She paints forests, lotuses, angels and Slavic nature spirits. She paints slowly, layer by layer, using the technique of the old masters \u2013 paintings, walls and colouring books for children of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What guides her<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When I start painting, all my problems become distant. If that calm doesn\u2019t come, I don\u2019t paint. I wouldn\u2019t know how.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

That is why her paintings come into being slowly, layer by layer, using the technique of the old masters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What she loves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The forest and those who live in it \u2013 the visible ones and the ones our ancestors believed in. Lotuses, light, angels. And children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time I discovered that what I love most is creating for children who see a little further, a little deeper \u2013 and reminding adults that they were children once too.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Who she is<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An art conservator by profession, a painter by calling. She graduated in painting conservation from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and started out working on other artists\u2019 masterpieces \u2013 at Wilan\u00f3w Palace and in the conservation studio of the National Museum. Then came jewellery, interiors, exhibitions, storyboards, copies and portraits. She started painting her own pictures almost by accident: someone saw a sketch she had made just for herself and persuaded her to keep drawing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People say I have a lot of patience. I\u2019m not sure that\u2019s quite true. I just keep searching.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n<\/iframe>\n\n\n\n

What she does<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Original paintings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Oil paintings, commissioned portraits and copies of old masters \u2013 painted in glazes, with pigment and gilding, the way she learned in conservation. Every commission starts with a conversation, not a deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art projects and murals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Murals and whole spaces \u2013 in homes, surgeries and clinics, in Poland, Norway and the Netherlands. The largest of them, \u201cSunny Land\u201d, turns the attic of Warsaw Children\u2019s Home No. 16 into a fairy-tale path to the playroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Illustration, books and colouring books<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since 2018: books to read and colour \u2013 from \u201cThe News Carries Through the Forest\u201d to the new \u201cSlavic Soul Stories\u201d series. Printable colouring pages are here in the shop<\/a> and in her Etsy studio; printed books are on Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
